Coming together is a beginning, Keeping together is progress, Working together is success, and Partying together is a Festive Celebration....

Last 12 months have been extremely demanding for all of us and all of us have worked extremely hard and today was the day when we celebrated the hard work in a different manner (different from dinner-dance parties). It was a lunch trip, which came out of nowhere. All of us were working on a busy Tuesday, when suddenly Sakshi invited all of us to the Finance Room for a quick meeting. The first thought that hit my mind was –there will be an announcement for another DELITE session with the entire team (like Amit did after board meeting). And yes there was an announcement for a DELITE session but in Umesh’s own style. Thank you very much, boss for the surprise lunch meeting.

And the lunch trip started just an hour late as some of us faced “Traffic Blues :)”. Then there was confusion who is going in whose car, and if Dau is coming to office or Nimish was picking him from Vistawoods. Finally, after some 20 calls, everybody was in one of the three cars and were on way to Tikli Bottom in Tikli Village, just 20 kms from office. Sunny guided us how to reach the destination using instructions shared by Umesh on WhatsApp group and we reached there without any trouble. We were welcomed with a one-liner that just started the laughter ride – “Abe Inne to wahin chor aata” :). Pre-lunch session started with a couple of board games as all were gathering on the venue in tranches. We saw a group of people who were shooting for a clothing barnd. Vipul and Sunny were all after the group to get featured as lead male model for the fashion brand, but perhaps luck was not on their side despite their handsome looks. Vishesh, who was still missing at the venue, was in confusion in Gurgaon if he should join the team or not and almost refused to join with his confirmation to Sunny. However, Vishesh joined in no-time after seeing a special pic shared on the group. :)

Then there was a cricket match which lasted only for ~4 overs with one team getting out in just 2.3 overs and other winning it in less than 2 overs. Rachit hit 3 consecutive boundaries to end the match in 2nd over. The best pics of the cricket match were clicked in the best phone camera by Surendera. And with the early finish of the game, we were forced to have an early lunch (at 1.30pm against scheduled time of 1.45pm). It was a lunch which will be remembered for Potatoes for Vegetarian folks and for Fish for Non-vegetarian folks. Perhaps one of the lunches where there were no office talks. It definitely bonded each one of us emotionally. And then finally Nimish was able to try his hands on Game of The Year 2016 – "Code Names", which was with him for more than 100 days and he could not play it because reading the rule book of game was not his cup of tea. And then the favorite game was on Table – “Saboteur”. I am sure everyone who played the game, must had loved it. And then there was time leg pulling for Surendera, who was on a call and everyone asked him if he is looking for spa. The day was not over – all of us finally decided to have another cricket match. Just before the match Jeevan decided to have jumping ride that was stationed for kids :). Thankfully the cricket match lasted the entire set of 10 overs and the team who won the first match, won the second game too. Rachit was the discovery of the trip for his cricket skills displayed during his batting and bowling. Thanks to Lokesh for playing and made others play the fair game. There was a sad part to the match as well - Prasoon got injured. (Let’s hope and Pray for his faster recovery). And then there was Masala Tea – Thanks to Sakshi and Tanmeen for getting it arranged right on time. Just as we thought the day had ended on s superb note, there were more Happy moments. All us were inside the fields for another selfie, while Tanmeen and Sakshi posed a ‘Titanic’ scene thinking its DDLJ Pose :),  and the final selfie happened on the car before we were made realised by the local people that we had blocked the way with vehicles parked in the middle of the road. And then the journey to office started….

It was a fun day full of DELITE. Thank you Umesh for planning it and thank you Sakshi for helping Umesh to make it happen.

Let’s have more such moments in 2017. Wish you all a very happy 2017.
